I began my love for flying at a very early age and took my first airplane ride when I was one day old. My Dad and several family members were pilots. I am sure that solidified my desire to fly. I earned my Private Certificate in 1969 at the age of 18. I joined the U.S. Army in 1970 to fly helicopters and graduated from flight school with honors in 1972. I then spent the next 8 years touring the world. After my discharge I worked for several helicopter companies and flew executive jets for 11 years also. I was employed with the U.S Department of Interior, Office of Aircraft Services for 18 years, retiring in July 2011.
