She and her husband Nick have horses, chickens, dogs, cats, four children, and four grandkids. They are very involved in their community and church... needless to say, she is busy!

Alisha has been with Silverhawk since 2015; she was the Director of Student Services and is currently the Director of Sales and Marketing. She attended three universities, Seattle Pacific, Arizona State, and the University of Idaho, where she received her BS in Advertising and Business. Nicole is the Director of Admissions. She is a California native, but has lived all over: Utah, Texas, Arkansas, Wisconsin, and Virginia. She wasn't in the military herself, however she is the only daughter of a Navy Captain. Fun fact about Nicole, Barbie bought her first car!

Certified Office Fluff. Beau has been meandering the Silverhawk hallways begging for food and looking for the perfect nap spot for years. He typically eats one kibble at a time, runs like a bunny, and leaves tastefully-placed "accidents" when his owners are away from home for too long. Recently, Beau attended a seminar on the future of digital media and aviation operations. Be sure to give him your card to talk strategy or to taste test treats.

Fun fact, he is a citizen of the US and Switzerland.

Assistant Chief Helicopter Instructor

Jason bounced between small town Riggins, Idaho, and big city life in Denver, Colorado. He felt well-equipped to live anywhere, so he joined the US Navy and traveled the world for 20 years. He was a Gas Turbine Systems Technician Mechanic and retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. After working in the Landing Craft Air Cushion community his dream of flying led him to Silverhawk. Jason enjoys the outdoors, and spending time with his wife and three kids. He is the lead instructor for TVCC and Silverhawk's Assistant Chief Helicopter Instructor.

Blaine is a helicopter CFI that found, as a skydiver, he liked flying the aircraft more than jumping out of them. This led him to a career in aviation. He started an EMS program at the College of Southern Idaho. After earning his basic, advanced EMT and his paramedic certifications, he began a career in EMS. In 2017 he began working with Air St. Luke's Boise. Blaine and his wife welcomed their first baby in July 2022!

John is a helicopter CFI from Wichita, Kansas. You can find him either studying, flying, with his German Shepherd, or at the gym. While in the military, John was Paratrooper with the 82ND Airborne Division. He says, "The possibilities are endless when it comes to helicopters. There is an aspect of excitement in every flight and a curiosity within the world of helicopter aviation." Fun fact, John is a third-generation aviator.

Jon is a helicopter CFI born and raised outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He's always enjoyed the outdoors and being active; coming out to Idaho has given him an amazing opportunity to explore new parts of the country. Jon loves helicopters and would have pursued a career earlier if he had known how attainable it was. Now, here he is as a CFI in his first role in a new career! He was in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard as an Infantryman. Sweet fact, he had an early birthday party at a helicopter museum because he thought they were so cool!

Peter is a helicopter CFI.

Chief Helicopter Instructor

Kalan lives in Caldwell, ID with "the Mrs." and two (sometimes three) kiddos. When he's not running around with his family or at Silverhawk, Kalan flies for LifeFlight Network in Walla Walla, WA. "I started as a student [at Silverhawk] in 2015. I began instructing in 2018 and left to find my way in the aviation world in the fall of 2020. It's awesome to finally be back home!"

Nick is the advanced helicopter training flight instructor. "Being a poor kid from Chicago", he never imagined a life in aviation. He was going to be a priest (until he discovered girls), then a cop, which he became after leaving the USAFSS. Years later, after punching around with instructing, charter, commuters, and airlines, he went into the FAA (he approved Silverhawk 25 years ago!). After retiring in 2012, his focus is caring for his horses, serving and training his church security team, and his other great passion in helicopters, advanced mountain flying. Nick's goal is to help make every pilot better than he was before, in ways that will endure!

Gerald, a helicopter CFI, was born and raised in north Idaho. He and his wife are expecting their third child in December. He became a pilot because "helicopters are undeniably cool and I thought aviation would be an exciting way to make a living" —also seeing the world from the air is something he loves to experience. Gerald was a medic in the 101st Airborne. Fun fact, although he claims he isn't very good at it, he enjoys cooking.

Gunnar spent five years in the army in the 82nd Airborne division. He was a forward observer responsible for requesting, and adjusting artillery fire. He started falling in love with aviation after jumping out of his first plane. Hunting, fishing, and spending time with family are some of Gunnar's favorite pastimes. He became a helicopter pilot because it is a challenging career where one can always continue to improve their knowledge and skills. The best part of his career is sharing the experience with others.

Helicopter CFI Nick is from San Diego, but has moved around a bit before landing in Boise. He worked as a wildland firefighter for years, allowing him to travel all across the Western states with a great crew. This career introduced him to helicopter operations and after a conversation with a helicopter pilot, he was sold. Nick lives near downtown Boise with Kaitlin and Kobe (girlfriend and pup). He enjoys mountain biking, camping, and snowboarding! With flight, he loves how every day offers something new. "Flying is a huge privilege and I am so grateful that I get to do it. It keeps you humble and rewards you in endless ways." Fun fact, their Christmas Eve tradition is take-out Indian food (Madhuban is his favorite).

Assistant Chief Fixed Wing Instructor

Born in Winnemucca, Nevada, Al earned his private pilot certificate in 1969, and graduated from the US Army Flight School in 1972. Both his father and uncle were pilots, so naturally he followed in their footsteps, and was a US Army Aviator in the military. Al has years and years of experience flying both airplanes and helicopters along with 18 years in US Department of Interior Aviation Program. He is the Assistant Chief Fixed Wing Instructor and a DPE for the FAA.

Justin is a helicopter CFI from Redmond, Washington. His love for the outdoors (mountain biking, rock climbing, fly fishing and backpacking) and seeing places only accessible by helicopter was his primary drive for becoming a helicopter pilot. Justin has lived in desert, tropical, mountainous and agricultural regions. The mountains are his favorite!

Sarah grew up on a small cattle ranch in Spring Creek, Nevada with three sisters. She enjoys hiking, camping, riding horses, and anything outdoors. One day she looked out the window, saw a helicopter, and for some reason on that particular day, she decided she wanted to become a helicopter pilot. She took a discovery flight and knew in that moment she was meant to be a pilot. Her favorite part about flying is "that just like life, flying is full of challenges. These challenges make you stronger, allowing you to reach heights you never knew you could reach. From the air, you can see a whole new perspective of the world and that makes the journey all the more worth it." Fun fact, Sarah's family had two pet wolves when she was younger.

Raised in Montana and Idaho, Austin grew to love the outdoors. He was a zipline guide in Tennessee’s Smokey Mountains and began flying helicopters while Utah working as a ski instructor in Utal. After completing his training at Silverhawk, he became a flight instructor in Colorado, then at Silverhawk. Currently, he spends most of his free time reading with a goal to start his own helicopter business. He chose the aviation life because he couldn’t see myself working a desk job and wanted a carrer he could progress in. Austin's favorite part of flying is the freedom – "helicopter pilots can land in very diverse areas and get to see the world from a unique perspective. No two flights are the same, I love the creativity and the mental process that comes with flying. When flying there isn’t a lot of room to be thinking about other things just the present moment with the helicopter."

Matt is a fixed wing CFI. He recently wrapped up a 20-year-long Air Force career and began teaching in October 2022. He worked on F-16s and F-15Es for seven years, then earned his degree and became an  F-15E Weapons System Officer (WSO) for 20 years. "It’s been a blast being able to travel to the world and fly around in one of the most advanced fighter jets in the U.S. inventory".
Aviation has been a lifelong passion for Matt. "Being able to hop in a plane and go wherever you want is a felling that’s hard to match."

Matt is married with three dogs who all look forward to staying in one place for longer than a couple of years!

Nolan grew up in Auburn, Washington, and moved to Boise in May of 2022 to continue his aviation journey. His dad, a fellow pilot, introduced him to aviation at a young age and became his CFI for his Private Pilot License.

Some of Nolan's hobbies include hunting, fishing, and golf.

Hayden took his first discovery flight with Silverhawk when he was eight years old! He began training in high school with the goal of becoming a CFI by 20; he met this goal with a few days to spare! Outside of aviation, he loves to golf, rock climb, camp, and when the weather allows, he's up at Bogus "shredding that pow pow!" He pursued aviation because of the various opportunities it can open up. "Traveling the world flying a jet sounds like the coolest job in the world to me" and the views are unbeatable.

Samuel is a fixed wing CFI from El Salvador, a little country in Central America. He and his wife moved to the US seven years ago, making their way to Idaho to enjoy the lakes and rivers, although the cold weather was difficult to adjust to after living in a tropical climate for 23 years. When Sam was a kid, he and his brother would go to the airport, pay to have access to the rooftop, and watch commercial airplanes take off and land. He loves to see everything from the sky – it makes him feel free and proud to be able to control one of those beautiful machines (airplanes). Fun fact, he hates bugs!

Alexei is a fixed wing CFI from Boise. The excitement of traveling the world and the awesome office views are what led him to aviation. Outside of flying, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, biking, hiking, kayaking, and growing Bonsai Trees.

His "other job" is as a pilot and IT support specialist for Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) in Nampa. Since Jacob was a young adult he wanted to be a missionary pilot and fly bush planes into remote areas. He was able to do this for a few years in Brazil – now he is back in the US where he can share his love for flying with others as a flight instructor. "There is just something fun about floating among the clouds.. the view can't be beat!" Jacob speaks "not amazingly well, but functional" Portuguese.

Born in California and raised in Georgia, Rachel began her career at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., followed by traveling the world working for state and federal trade agencies in the hop industry. In 2020, she followed her aviation passion and has been flying ever since. She grew up with aviation; however, it wasn’t until her late twenties that she knew she belonged in the air. Rachel's father has been a huge influence and is the best aviator she knows. The best part of flying is the takeoff and landing: the thrill, the concentration, monitoring of systems, the adrenaline, and the best part — the challenge. Nothing beats it! Interesting tidbit: she used to organize, manage, and execute the American Hop Convention, a large 3-day conference for brewers and hop growers.

Della is a fixed wing CFI from Enumclaw, Washington. Aviation is her biggest passion and has always been a big part of Della's life! She eventually caught the "aviation bug" and knew there was nothing else she could imagine myself doing. Her goal is to be an airline pilot, but she also has a love for antique aircraft and the characters that fly them! She hope to fly little airplanes for the rest of her life. Her favorite part about flying is embracing the freedom of being one with the aircraft and leaving all life's problems on the ground. Fun facts, Della is a third generation pilot and she loves the culturally experience traveling abroad provides!

Jake is a CFI.

Outside of aviation, Luke loves playing music and soccer. He graduated with his bachelor's in biology, but now his life is oriented around flying airplanes. Jesse spent four years as an engine and fuel system mechanic for EA-18s in the Navy. He believes flying is the ultimate form of freedom, adventure, and innovation. After spending so much time working on aircraft in the Navy, he feels flying was the perfect fit for him. Also, he likes the interesting people you meet along the way.

His friend Dawson, a former Silverhawk CFI, convinced him the time was now to follow his pilot dreams. Cole and his wife moved to Caldwell and now he flies airplanes for a living! Outside of Silvehawk, Cole is a blacksmith!

Growing up around helicopters caused him to dream of seeing the world from a new perspective. His goals are to bring joy to others through flight and to travel as much as possible!

Clark is an airplane CFI who loves the serenity of viewing the world at altitude. He is a dog owner, an avid reader, a motorcycle rider, a photographer, a storyteller, and a breakfast connoisseur (he promised himself guitar lessons once he became a working pilot). He has loved airplanes since he first learned what they were. Life just gave him other tasks to complete before beginning aviation. Fun fact, he was born in the year of the dog, and he couldn’t be happier about that.

Cody was born and raised in the Bay Area. After receiving his BS in Wildlife Biology from the University of Montana, Cody moved to Wyoming to work as a field biologist. He spent many hours in a small aircraft conducting surveys which led him to wonder what life as a pilot would be like. He loved the endless opportunities in aviation and how it connects our great big world. After his time as a fixed wing CFI, he would like to pursue a career in conservation as a wildlife pilot. Fun fact, Cody spent his summers in college as a professional "snorkeler" for Idaho Fish and Game.

He and his wife, Tess, decided it was time to explore new career paths. This brought them back to Helena as she started studying to be a nurse, and he began flight training at a local school. Tess accepted a job in the Treasure Valley, fulfilling Michael's goal of returning to his beloved Idaho. The duo has two golden retrievers and enjoy being in the elements, both on land and in the sky. His favorite aspect of flying is soaring over the forests and high mountain lakes in the PNW. Fun fact: Michael's parents were flight attendants for United Airlines, and he was given the title of 2A Idaho Basketball Player of the Year his senior year of high school.

For the past 14 years, he worked as a machinist setting up CNC mill machines and building things out of blocks of aluminum, steel, and plastic.
